What It Is Like

What working here actually involves

You draft early

Juniors draft plaints, replies and applications from the first weeks, reviewed line by line. Nobody learns drafting by watching somebody else do it.

You are in court

Most mornings are court mornings. You will carry files, take notes, and start appearing on routine listings sooner than you expect.

You see whole matters

Because the chamber is small, you follow a matter from the first consultation to the decree, rather than one narrow slice of it.

You are told when you are wrong

Feedback here is direct. It is the same standard we apply to advice we give clients, and it is the fastest way to become competent.

Junior Advocate — Litigation

Full-time0–3 years post-enrolment
Apply

Appear and assist in matters before the Family Court, District & Sessions Court and the consumer commissions in Pune, with drafting responsibility from day one.

What you would do

  • Draft plaints, written statements, applications and legal notices
  • Appear for routine listings and assist seniors at contested hearings
  • Meet clients, take instructions and maintain matter files
  • Research statutes and judgments, with an emphasis on BNS/BNSS transition issues

What we look for

  • LL.B. with enrolment (or eligibility for enrolment) with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa
  • Working fluency in Marathi and English; Hindi an advantage
  • Willingness to be in court most mornings
  • Clear written drafting — a sample will be requested

Legal Intern

Internship3rd–5th year LL.B. students

A working internship, not a shadowing exercise: research, drafting support and court attendance across family, criminal, civil and property matters.

What you would do

  • Case-law research and preparation of research notes
  • Assisting with drafting under supervision
  • Attending hearings and preparing hearing notes
  • Organising documents and case chronologies

What we look for

  • Currently enrolled in a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme
  • Minimum four-week commitment
  • Reading knowledge of Marathi is useful for revenue and land records work

Paralegal / Court Clerk

Full-time1+ years in a litigation office

Filing, court coordination and record-keeping for a 15-advocate chamber running matters across multiple Pune courts.

What you would do

  • Filing and follow-up at court registries
  • Tracking hearing dates and maintaining the cause-list diary
  • Obtaining certified copies and coordinating with the Sub-Registrar offices
  • Maintaining physical and digital matter records

What we look for

  • Prior experience in an advocate's office or court registry
  • Familiarity with Pune's District Court and Family Court filing procedures
  • Fluent Marathi; functional English

  4. If shortlisted, you will be asked in for a conversation and a short drafting exercise. We reply either way.

Questions

Before you write to us

Do you take law students for internships?
Yes. We take a small number of interns through the year, with a minimum four-week commitment. Internships here involve real research and drafting under supervision, along with court attendance — not photocopying.
Is enrolment with the Bar Council required to apply?
For advocate roles, you should be enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa or eligible to enrol shortly. For internships and paralegal roles, enrolment is not required.
Is Marathi necessary?
For most roles, yes — practically. Client conversations, revenue records and a large share of court interaction in Pune happen in Marathi. English is used for drafting; Hindi helps.
